Monday's quilt

Yup, I finished another small quilt from Cheri Saffiote-Payne's pattern.
This quilt called Monday's quilt. Don't know why it called "Monday's" though.
The size is 18" x 21".

In the meanwhile, another baking from June Cleaver's kitchen.*LOL*
I had very riped bananas and needed to use ASAP. So I reach my Bible and found the Banana bread recipe.
The recipe called banana nuts bread, but I left out the nuts for kids sake.
Although I could used raisins, I might try next time.

I carefully read a recipe and spotted 2 table Spoon of vanilla extract requirement. I mean, TWO WHOLE TABLE SPOON!
I thought that's a lot so I only add 1 table spoon instead two. Even though I think 1 table spoon is kinda too much.
(maybe miss print? could be 2 TEAspoon.)
Also I didn't have buttermilk so I used half and half with lemon juice.
I made 2 loaves Banana breads out of this batch and kids loved it.

Here is a similar version of Banana bread recipe with only 2 teaspoon vanilla extract requirement.*LOL*
(Now, I really think that book was miss printed.... Hmmmmmm.....)

The small quilt is really lovely, great finish! Is this one to hang on the wall and how do you hang your minis? Mmm banana bread, one of my favourites, banana muffins are a favourite too.

このキルトも可愛い!!
やっぱり四角つなぎはいいですね~。
アップリケが入ることでとっても可愛らしくなっているし。
私はその下のボール??みたいなものが気になっています(笑)。

Love your new Cheri quilt - do you think she's going through the days of the week? I thought I saw one that had Tuesday in the name, too *s*
I bet your banana bread is just yummy!

Your little quilt is absolutely wonderful! I just put "some" vanilla in, never measure...hmmm, maybe I should! Two tablespoons does sound like a lot, though.

I love that pattern! I was wondering why it was Monday, too.

Great little quilt. I have a photo of the same block design in full size and have intended to make it from my 2&1/2" strips as a scrap quilt. The small one is much more do-able. What size are the 4 patches?

I love banana bread. My freezer is full off too ripe bananas just waiting for a baking day. But 2 Tablespoons is definitely a misprint.

HI Lea!! How are you? LOVE the new Monday quilt :) I need to look for that pattern on cheris website. How do you get so much quilting done with two children is what i want to know! LOL! I love the sweet floral fabric you used for the background :)
DO you hand piece or machine piece?

I love that little quilt, Lea. And the bread looks delicious! I use dried cranberries in banana bread in place of nuts - very tasty.

Monday mini is very nice. Do you hand quilt your mini's? If so, do you use a hoop? I don't think I could quilt without one, but mine is 14-inches. The smallest size I can get is 10-inches. I wonder if that would be small enough.
