few of my non-favorite thing

Yikes..... I do not like the basting.
It's my least favorite process of making a quilt, I shall say.
What's your least favorite process?

On the other hand, a mail man brought latest Yoko Saito's book at my front porch today. YUuuuuuuppppppppppiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!
I'll look through this book for my bed time. :-)

I would agree mine would be basting. I have a large hand quilting frame so now I do not have to baste. :) I still baste really small project if I want to use a hoop. That quilt tops looks great. There is so much in it. Just think once it is basted it will never have to be basted again.

We all HATE basting...it's tedious, but very necessary. LOVE that book...it looks like it has scrumtious applique. Love applique. Hope your kids are doing better. I wasn't in the military, but my husband traveled a LOT when they were little. I remember like yesterday!

Basting is a tedious job allright and it can be bad for the back too. My last large quilt I got a mchine quilter to do but it's too costly now. Your quilt is looking wonderful.

Basting is my least fave, too, because I have such a hard time finding a spot that's big enough. That's one of the reasons I like making doll quilts. They fit flat on a
table.

Basting is on my dislike list too...
and that book...I bought one for my Mom for Mother's Day and we drooled over every page...it's completely worth twice the price...
Now I need to find her a nice selection of taupes...
If anyone would like to trade Daiwabo taupes for a primitive hooked rug I'm in...
I'm low on $ but have plenty of primitive rugs I've hooked or great top quality wool to swap...

Basting is something I'm on the fence about. I've never learned how to pin baste, most often use spray glue, but do thread baste from time to time. It would be a MUCH easier job, if only I had the proper space at the proper height so as not to break my back and wear out my knees *s*
A girl can dream, right?

I am not crazy about basting either and binding is right up there with things I don't like to do. But that books looks like great motivation.
