Dealing with military kids

My kids are a having difficult time, specially right before bedtime.
So I plan to watch a movie every night with kids.
We can pick a movie of the day, and watch it together.

I love old movies and TV sit-coms, my hubby love action (of cause!*LOL*) , horror and mysteries.
We have a quite selection of DVDs as you see in the picture.*LOL*

Well, I bought more DVDs today. I love original version of "The out of towners" and my son's request "Misery".
But We'll watch "Tower of Terror" for Mindy's sake tonight. :-D

(She loves witches and Halloween kinds of stories)

We do Netflix to have movies delivered to the house. You have quite a stash of movies just like you have a stash of fabric!

I want to come to your house and go through your movies. I'm a big movie buff. I watch one everyday, and IF I don't watch a movie, I always have Friends in. I own ALL 10 seasons on DVD. I love Misery, btw. I need to watch it. I haven't seen it in a long while.

I hope you and your kids are well. By the looks of it, you are keeping busy and you are tending to your children's needs. You're a good mother and a loyal wife. Hang in there, Lea. I commend you.

Have your kids ever watched some of the older TV series like Little House on the Prairie or Bonanza? These would be good ones to watch in the evening also and I'm sure they are available on DVD (especially Little House). My DIL has really been lonely since DS went to Iraq. Her neighbors have been really good to her and have helped her with a lot of things like babysitting and fixing the broken water pipe! How long will your DH be deployed?

You are such a good mama and wife...being an old military kid I know how hard it is when dad's gone. Sending you lots of good thoughts!

Oh it has to be so hard... My brother was a Navy man and when he would be gone, the kids would miss him so terribly. It helps to do activities and write letters to dad, but nothing can replace the real thing! Hope this time passes quickly.

What a great idea . . . . it's such fun to have your own special little ritual to look forward to every day. Still I'm not brave enough to watch Misery or Tower of Terror *yikes *
