The longest summer

Boy, It's been a long time since my last post!
Well, did everyone had a wonderful summer???
My long summer fiasco is almost over. Although, it's not quite over yet because our household goods have not arrived YET!!!!
We finally moved in our new house, which is the same city that we used to live three years ago in southern California.
Believe it or not, we don't have any furniture, nothing! We are using sleeping bags to sleep on. It's pretty much like camping indoor in our new home.*LOL*
Our household goods should be arriving sometime early September.
We received our express shipment which included a TV , our PC and some little cooking tools last week. So finally I can go online and meet you girls again!!!!
Gee.... I have been totally out of touch so long. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. Ha! *LOL*
O.K. What should I talk about first....
I went to my in-law's new home in Texas right after we left Japan.
For Goodness sake, Texas is super HOT! It was No joke! but I really love the area.

We went to Fort Worth's Historic livestock yard and had a great time. I love the atmosphere, love old town, cozy country feeling, just love it.

Of cause, I'm a quilter. Yes, I went to a couple of quilt shops. I checked their website before I left Japan.

First stop was called Lone star house of quilts shop. It's a very cute shop that is full of repro and Jo Morton fabrics! This shop is very close to my taste. and Oh, I was soooooo thrill to see tons of beautiful fabrics!!! ( I've been out of the U.S. too long, Hun? *LOL*)
I may have went a bit off. I bought some patterns, some Jo Morton's books and yes FABRICS, FABRICS, and more FABRICS!
They put all of the things I purchases in a logo bag from there shop. What a sweet treat! I love it.
I definitely will go this shop again when I visit my hubby's mom and dad again. :-)

Next shop was near the Fort Worth area. Another homey charming quilt shop and those ladies that work there were very sweet. The shop called Country stitches quilt shop.
I had a wonderful time picking out all the yummy fat quarters!
All right, what I need now is all my quilting equipments!!!!
I really hope that our TMO will be here soon, yes, very soon.

Welcome back!

Oh Lea, you are having a blast! I am happy for you to be here in the USA. Too bad you on the opposite coast from me! Moving is such a pain, and having to wait for everything to come by ship and take so long has got to be the worst! How long will you be here? Is it a permanent move or are you going back to Japan? Welcome home!
